WHAT JOBS ARE 15 YEAR OLDS ALOWED TO DO?

If you are a 15 year old teenager and looking for jobs for 15 year olds, what kinds of jobs does the law allow you to do? Obviously you can’t have a job that requires you to drive or anything like that and there are certain kinds of jobs that you can’t have.

If you are 14 or 15 years old these are the things you CAN do:

• Work outside school hours
•After 7 a.m. and until 7 p.m. (hours are extended to 9 p.m. June 1 through Labor Day)
• Up to 3 hours on a school day
•Up to 18 hours in a school week
•Up to 8 hours on a non-school day
•Up to 40 hours in a non-school week

15-year-olds can get all sorts of jobs including those in offices, grocery stores, retail stores, restaurants, movie theaters, amusement parks, baseball parks or gasoline service stations. They are not allowed, however,  from working in jobs that have been declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labor.

It is hard to find a job if you are only 15 and especially now that the economy is so bad. It is even hard to find a job if you are an adult right now so jobs for 15 year olds are really hard to find. Now that you know what the law allows you to do, go out and try to find someone who need some extra help and is willing to take a chance on you. The more friends you make and the more contacts you introduce yourself to, the greater chance you will of finding a job this summer.

why cant they just give 15 year olds jobs its not bad. 15 year olds just get stuck at home every day after. i just think its not fair that 16 year olds do get jobs and not 15 year olds come on were teens.
